Foreword

Every year, thousand of visitor come to the raiforest of Tangkoko Duasudara Nature Reserve to witness its weird and wonderfull plant and animals. Visitor come away seeing a great deal within  a metter of hours. However, visitor often leave not knowing understanding what they sa. We feel that there was a clear need for a simple field guide to identify and describe the plants animals of Tangkoko.

There are alredy good natural history books on Sulawesi including Natural history of North Sulawesi by Margaret Kinnaird, Ecology of Sulawesi By Holmes and Keren Phillipps, Bird of Wallacea by Briand Coatest and David Bishop, and Birding Indoensia by Paul Jepson.
